Before 1990, the use of window film in my country was virtually nonexistent. Starting in 1990, foreign manufacturers entered the Chinese market. From the initial two or three companies, the number gradually increased to over a dozen after 1993 and 1994. After 2000, heat-insulating film and explosion-proof film were widely used in automobiles, while safety film was widely used in bank counters.
Currently, due to promising industry prospects and considerable investment returns, businesses and manufacturers of all sizes are entering this vast market. However, the domestic automotive window film market lacks national standards and industry regulations. Statistics show that there are currently over 2,000 brands sold in China, and businesses are constantly introducing new product concepts to make their products more distinctive and marketable.
